Howard Buell has made a few trips to Laos during the war to visit his father, Edgar Pop Buell, who was working for USAID. His father often sent him letters and photos from Laos. These images were taken in Lat Houang, Laos, prior to communist invasion that forced Pop and the Hmong to relocate (later) to Sam Thong.
