Mrs. My Vue Collection

Mrs. My Vue was the wife of the late Colonel Moua Cher Pao. She was born in Xieng Khouang Province, Laos. Throughout her life, she had experienced and witnessed first-hand accounts of the Hmong life since the 1940s in Laos to their resettlements to the U.S. Her children also devoted their careers to the military, serving as SGU soldiers; and in the U.S., they all became successful entrepreneurs.

Mrs. My Vue explained that in early May of 1975 she visited her sick grandchild in Thailand and found out that she could never return back to her country of Laos. On May 14, Laos finally collapsed into communists control. The only thing she brought with her was the clothes she wore.
