“Witnessing wounded soldiers”

The hospitals in Sam Thong were huge. Patients filled the rooms. I saw people returning from the war injured. Some lost their arms. Some lost their legs. Some were blind. They were in severe conditions and you felt very sorry for them. At the time I had 4 kids and was young. There were a lot of injured people in treatment. These patients had severe injuries. My house was across from the hospital on different hills, but at the same height level. So when I looked across, I saw many helicopters transporting the patients out.
